In 1984, my good friend, Katie Yang (aka Fong Yim Fun), and I
established the Kwan Fong Charitable Foundation. Since its establishment, we have
raised more than HK$45 million for charitable causes. Kwan Fong's endowments have helped
set up two homes for the elderly, a theatre for senior citizens, facilities for
children's hospitals, a child care centre, a school for the mentally-retarded, to name a
